The Corporate Accountant is responsible for supporting all day-to-day accounting, fiscal and payroll activities, following internally defined accounting policies and procedures.
Tasks:
- Handle communications with external entities (e.g.: Tax authorities, social security) via phone, email, and in-person;
- Review expense reports and process expenses reimbursements according to the internal policies;
- Maintain digital and physical financial records and ensure data integrity and prepare financial information as required, in accordance with expected accuracy, timeliness and accessibility;
- Performs all financial and analytical accounting activities, notably preparation of the chart of accounts, account analysis and conciliation, general ledger, bank conciliations, vendor conciliation, customer receivables conciliation, numbering and archiving of documents, analytical analysis of costs and revenues, cost centre entries, accruals and deferrals, analytical reporting of costs and payments, tax due calculations and other normative/legislation required accounting procedures in accordance with SNC and IFRS standards;
- Perform the accounting monthly closing and auditing according to internal and external deadlines;
- Participate actively and cooperate for the success of financial/tax external audits;
- Perform monthly payroll and regular social security and fiscal obligations and communications, reviewing and processing all payroll;
- Ensures taxes and contributions and other external reporting compliance within deadlines;
- Produces financial reports as needed (e.g. Trial Balances, Balance Sheets, P&L, Cash flow statements etc.);
- Support all employees/contractors onboarding and off-boarding finance-related tasks;
- Ensure Project Accounting (PT2020 / H2020) ensuring payments requests are held in timely manner according to external deadlines;
- Handle all administrative and financial Grants documentation and deliverables;
- Work on improving the financial ERP;
- Work on improving the the processes of the financial department with focus on accounting;
- Decides, in coordination with the Team, regarding requests and enquiries;
- Supports the controlling function as needed;
- Support to accounting/reporting/compliance of the subsidiaries, including intercompany transactions;
- Support other departments with finance related issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Management/Economics;
- Chartered Accountant;
- At least 1 year of previous accounting relevant experience;
- Proficiency in Office tools Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
- Experience with ERP systems (Primavera, PHC, SAP, SAGE, Oracle);
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Very good planning and organizational skills;
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable person;
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
- Fluency in English.
Bonus Points:
- Previous experience in financial management or certification of PT2020 projects;
